Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras wants a permanent deal at Celtic.

The News of the World says Samaras hopes to agree a £2.75million switch to Celtic - despite interest in his homeland from former club Heerenveen.

The City flop, 23, on loan with the Hoops until the end of the season, has scored three goals since he arrived in January.
