Manchester City winger Martin Petrov has undergone a medical at Tottenham's White Hart Lane.
The London Evening Standard says City's Bulgarian winger arrived in London last night ahead of a meeting with Tottenham officials as the two clubs thrashed out a deal which could see David Bentley move in the opposite direction before the close of the transfer window at 5pm.
It is thought City are keen on a loan deal for Bentley, 25, whose stock fell to its lowest point with manager Harry Redknapp after he was caught drink-driving and banned for a year.
