Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has dismissed interest from Newcastle United.

The Toon are expected to try again for the England U21 international after failing to prise him from Eastlands in January.

"Of course I want to stay here," Onuoha insisted. "It was quite funny the number of people who were telling me where I was alleged to be going in January.

"But that is not important because my job is here and I am enjoying it."
