Manchester City midfielder James Milner admits he plans to resume his cricket career after he retires.
Milner, a useful batsman who played for Yorkshire's junior teams, admits he would love to still be opening the batting for Horsforth in the Airedale and Wharfedale League back in Leeds. But he will still be looking to hit old club Newcastle for six in the Premier League tomorrow.
Milner told ManC magazine: "I got a couple of hundreds for Horsforth, I've got a lot of friends there and I'd love to still play - but you can't risk a yorker on the toe!
"The most important thing for me now in summer is rest but I hope I'll be able to go back to cricket again once I've finished playing football."
