Manchester City midfielder James Milner concedes England's Euros preparations have been hit by Fabio Capello's resignation.
Milner, capped 26 times, admitted the timing of Capello's departure is not ideal.
"Everyone's different. Whoever comes in is going to be different to Fabio Capello. It's down to the players to adapt.
"I have a lot to thank Capello for. He gave me my England debut and my appearances to date.
"I learned as much as I could off Fabio Capello." But he said: "That's football. Things happen. I'm sure the FA will make the right decisions. All we can control is how well we play and hopefully do as well as we can on Wednesday - and for our club.
