Manchester City's defensive utility Vincent Kompany says the players have faith in manager Mark Hughes' plans.
He said: "We know this manager is doing a job that is going towards a positive direction and that's why everybody in the team is not too bothered by the speculation.
"We know he's going to be there next season to guide us and to make the team how he wants it, which he didn't have the opportunity to do this season.
"When you are in a club and you hear a player or a manager is coming for your position you may get a bit nervous but when you play for Man City you don't believe it any more, you joke about it. Half of the world is going to play for Man City next season. For me, it's more funny than stressful and I think the gaffer is the same."
