Man City's Johnson could've been Everton star

Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson could've have been turning out for Everton.

The 19 year-old joined City's academy three years ago after coming through the system at Everton.

With his floppy fair hair, the youngster is already being dubbed the new Colin Bell.

And Johnson is bowled over to be compared to City's King of the Kippax from the glory days of the '60s and '70s.

"I never saw him play, but he was the king," he told the People. "I'm flattered to be mentioned in the same breath."
