Man City's Jeremy Helan on double yellow: I was just happy to stay on

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jeremy Helan admits he kept quiet after he was given a SECOND yellow card on Saturday.

The FA and the Professional Game Match Officials Limited - which is the referees' body - have launched investigations to find out how Wednesday winger Helan was booked twice but not sent off.

Frenchman Helan, on loan from Manchester City, was shown yellow early on for diving and then picked up another card for a 25th-minute foul on Huddersfield winger Adam Hammill.

But referee Mick Russell had wrongly noted down Helan's team-mate Michail Antonio for the first booking and failed to spot the error.

Helan admitted: "From a personal point of view, I was just happy to complete 90 minutes.

"I do not know what happened with the bookings. That is the referee's decision and you would have to ask him."
