Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland has repaid the Irish FA £18,500 for a private plane after lying about the death of his grandmother.
The midfield ace, 21, was flown home ahead of the Republic of Ireland's match with the Czech Republic last month.
It was later revealed his girlfriend Jessica had suffered a miscarriage.
