Man City's Guidetti forced to apologise to Feyenoord pals after brain snap

Manchester City striker John Guidetti admits he let his Feyenoord teammates down with a brain snap yesterday.

The on-loan Manchester City striker looked to have earned Feyenoord victory when he slotted home a 77th-minute penalty, but the in-form teenager - with hat-tricks in each of his previous three home league matches - was then shown a second yellow card for taking his shirt off in celebrating the goal

. That proved a costly error from Guidetti as RKC made the most of their numerical advantage to snatch a leveller through Robert Braber's 87th-minute header.

Guidetti said: "I feel terrible. I apologised to my teammates, I hope they can forgive me."

Boss Ronald Koeman: "I'm very angry. Guidetti knows what he did was stupid, but we must not forget the times he has rescued us. John is young and will learn from this."
