Javi Garrido expects new Manchester City teammate Robinho to adapt quickly to Premiership action.

"Robinho's signing has been a huge surprise for me and for the entire squad," Garrido told setantasports.com. "I know him from my spell with Real Sociedad and he's a very hard player for defenders to mark.

"He can cause panic in England with all the fouls he draws and the killer passes he can offer to his team-mates.

"To be honest I don't believe he will struggle to settle into English football. And Elano is a perfect example to follow, as he is proving himself here.

"They are both from Brazil and from the same team (Santos) and he [Elano] can be a huge help for him. Robinho can improve our game, especially in attack."
