Man City's Etuhu jailed for eight months on assault charge

Former Manchester City striker Kelvin Etuhu was sentenced to eight months for assault after kicking and punching a man in a street fight outside a casino. The 22 year old was caught on CCTV cameras kicking the victim three times on the ground after he floored him with a punch.

The fight broke out after two groups of club-goers had earlier squared up in the Manchester 235 Casino in the early hours of February 28 last year.

The Nigerian-born player is a graduate of the Manchester City academy, making his first senior City appearance in September 2007 before being loaned out to Leicester towards the end of that season.

The younger brother of Fulham player Dickson Etuhu, he has also been on loan at Cardiff and Rochdale.
