“The gap between the Eredivisie and foreign leagues is increasing,” he told FC Update.

“The Eredivisie is not somewhere you should stay long-term.

“The Netherlands is great as a football school – coaches all over the world have adopted the Dutch method.

“But if you are 20 or 21, you should move abroad.”
