"I have never been afraid of any challenges and it wouldn't be a problem if I was to play for Torino," he told Tuttosport. "I have not received anything concrete from Italy and so I am ready to restart playing for Manchester City.
"I would like to reiterate what I said in the past and that is that I have never given my word to anyone. I just said that I wanted to play regularly.
"I spoke to both presidents [of Lazio and Torino] and, in the end, I made my own decision.
"The whistles I received during the Torino-Lazio clash showed me how passionate the fans are and I love playing for teams where the fans are passionate.
"I wouldn't have any problems playing for the Granata despite what happened in January."
