Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor wants to start winning trophies like his Manchester United mate Patrice Evra.

He said: "I played with Patrice Evra in Monaco and, today, he's playing for Manchester United and he's had the chance to win a lot of things, big competitions like the Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League.

"The journey to get there was so long and he is where he is because he worked hard and deserved it.

"But, for sure, I want to be like that, the guy with the winner's medals.

"In football we all dream of making history. I want to make my name bigger than it is today.

"If I can help this team win things after so long I will be happy because I will go into the history of the club. Most of our players think like this collectively."
