Man City youngster Wabara keen to remain with Ipswich

Manchester City starlet Reece Wabara says he is keen to extend his loan stay at Championship club Ipswich Town.

The 19-year old defender joined the Tractor Boys on a short-term deal last month which runs until January but he says he may look to remain at Portman Road longer to continue his development in a first team environment.

"I'm 19 now and my ambition is to play. If I'm playing and I'm going well then there's no reason why I can't extend the loan," he said.

"I think the manager and coaches have great faith in me, hopefully I can pay back some of that faith.

"It's difficult to get into any good, winning side. I've just got to work hard, wait for my chance and show people what I can do."
