Manchester City's teenage midfielder Paul Marshall is keen to try his luck with Scottish club Aberdeen.
The 19-year old is currently on trial with the Dons and admitted he was finding it tough at Eastlands due to the amount of money the club was spending on big-name players.
"I want to sign for Aberdeen because it is virtually impossible to break into the City team with the kind of money the club is spending," Marshall told the Evening Express.
Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee says he was impressed with Marshall when he saw him play and hoped to bring him in initially on a loan deal with a view to a permanent deal.
"I watched him playing for Manchester City reserves and I liked him," McGhee said.
