Manchester City have sent youngster Jason Denayer on loan to Scottish champions Celtic.
The 19-year old Belgian defender has joined the Hoops on a season-long loan which Patrick Vieira, head of City's Elite Development Squad, feels will make him a much better player.
"I really think Jason to Celtic is a good loan move," Vieira told the club's official website. "It's a great chance for him to go and get some experience.
"He's going to a team who will have a chance to play in the Champions League or Europa League so it is a really positive move."
Denayer has been made available for Celtic's Champions League play-off against Slovenia's NK Maribor on Wednesday night.
The Glasgow giants were reinstated into the Champions League after UEFA kicked out Polish club Legia Warsaw for fielding an unregistered player in their third round win over the Bhoys.
