Carlisle have completed the loan signing of Manchester City youngster Chris Chantler until January. The 20-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, is eager to get some first-team experience under his belt.
"I first heard of the interest when we played up here in a reserve team friendly. It just sounded like a good opportunity," Chantler told the club's official website. "I think the fact that I'm around a first team environment every day is good for me. I need to be playing, so I am weighing up my options.
"It's too early to say what will happen at the end of this loan but I have enjoyed it here so far. If it's going well then hopefully we will be able to look at what we might do next."
