Manchester City are set to close a deal for Benfica midfielder Javi Garcia.
The Daily Mail says with Benfica asking that a £23.5m buy-out clause be met, City left it late to close the Garcia deal.
They had feared Benfica would try to cling on to the 25-year-old as they had not got a replacement lined up.
