Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss fears his loan move to Bolton Wanderers could wreck his World Cup chances.

The Slovakia international has struggled for starts since his January switch.

Weiss said: "I know that if I don't play, then I might possibly miss the World Cup, which would make me sad.

"Anyway, I am prepared to fight and do my best to appear in the starting XI for Bolton soon to deserve to travel to South Africa."
