West Bromwich Albion are planning more talks with Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair this weekend.
The Express & Star says the 24-year-old wants to join Albion ahead of rival interest from the likes of Newcastle and Southampton after being impressed with the club's efforts last season in the top-flight as they clinched a record eighth place.
But the Hawthorns hierarchy have currently only sanctioned a loan move, while Sinclair favours a permanent exit from City to relaunch his career following a nightmare season at the Etihad Stadium after a number of temporary switches in recent seasons.
