Santos loan signing Robinho has ruled out returning to Europe to play for parent club Manchester City.

Santos are talking to sponsors about an offer that would keep him at the Vila Belmiro until the middle of next year, while Robinho is prepared to stay even longer.

But he clarified: "My goal is to stay at Santos, to extend the loan. Now I have to respect my contract with City, who have always been very correct with me.

"If I go back to Europe, it will depend on what the club decides, but, as I said, I wish to stay where I am for a long time."
