Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is Premier League Player of the Month.

Sterling has been rewarded for his impressive start to the season by receiving the Premier League's player of the month gong for August.

The England international has been in fine form under new boss Pep Guardiola, scoring two league goals and claiming an assist during the first month of the season.

Sterling, who failed to justify his £49million price-tag during his first season at the Etihad, will be hoping to continue his improved form in September.
