Man City winger Johnson in furious Mancini bust-up

Manchester City winger Adam Johnson has clashed with manager Roberto Mancini.

The Daily Star says Johnson, 25, was livid after being left out of City's starting line-up to face Chelsea in the Community Shield and made his feelings clear to Mancini.

The pair were involved in a row in front of stunned team-mates and the latest fallout will prove the final straw for Mancini.

Johnson, who has travelled to Switzerland for tomorrow's friendly, is now expected to join Everton on a season-long loan when he returns.

A City source said: "Adam was extremely upset at having been overlooked for the Community Shield match and is considering a transfer request.

"He vented his frustration in the dressing room at Villa Park and the manager made his feelings clear by chastising Adam.

"He cuts an unhappy figure in training and has told City's England contingent he wants to leave the club, ideally on a permanent basis, now the manager has signed a five-year contract.

"Adam feels he has even less chance of breaking into the team due to the new formation, which favours wingbacks over wingers."
