Man City winger Henshall excited facing Barcelona in NextGen clash

Manchester City winger Alex Henshall is eager to face Barcelona in the NextGen series tonight.

The 17-year-old second-year scholar at the Blues' renowned Academy is thrilled at the prospect of facing Celtic, Marseille and the European champions.

Winger Henshall, capped 21 times for England at Under-16 and Under-17 level, told City's website: "When I heard about the NextGen it sounded exciting but I didn't think I'd be included in the squad.

"It's incredible to potentially be facing Celtic, Marseille and the best team in the world, Barcelona. It will be interesting to see the standard from all three. It will be a good task for us.

"Playing against the biggest teams in the world should help make you a good player. I've got 21 caps so far for England, and I think that will stand me in good stead for this tournament."
