Manchester City are set to take a huge loss in their sale of Emmanuel Adebayor to Real Madrid.

The Sun says City will make a loss of more than £11million on Adebayor.

The Eastlands club have agreed to sell him to Real Madrid for £13.6m.

Former City boss Mark Hughes bought Adebayor for £25m in 2009 but he was left out by current manager Robert Mancini.

Adebayor moved to Real on loan last month and said: "I'm happy at the biggest club in the world."
