Manchester City are set to field a strong line up when they play against Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.

Despite the heavy festive schedule, City played a strong side on Saturday for their FA Cup third round victory over Burnley to keep them on course to win trophies this season.

Guardiola believes that his side cannot afford to take Bristol lightly as they have beaten four Premier League sides already, including Manchester United, whom they defeated in the last round of games.

"We are going to try to win the game, take the best result as possible, then go to Bristol City away with the best result, that's the only way I know," Guardiola told a news conference.

"Some players who didn't play [against Burnley] will play, but it is a semifinal and because Bristol have beaten three or four teams in the Premier League.

"I saw some minutes they played -- not too much because I didn't have time -- but my guys saw them and told me to be careful and it's a semifinal of the cup."
