Manchester City are ready to make Pep Guardiola the highest paid manager in football history.
The Sun says City bosses are thought to be considering offering the Bayern Munich chief the most lucrative managerial deal in history - worth £20million a season over five years.
Guardiola has been linked with the vacancy at Manchester City next summer, as current boss Manuel Pellegrini is set to leave the Etihad upon the expiry of his current deal.
Like Pellegrini, Guardiola's deal at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of next season - and he has admitted that he does not know where his future lies.
Guardiola said: “I have not made a decision yet as to what is best for this club. One year is a long time.
“I am not convinced whether it is right for the club if I were to extend my contract. I'll never be a problem for Bayern."
