Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is guaranteed another massive transfer budget for the January market.
The Daily Star Sunday says he has been promised another £50million to spend on players in January.
The transfer windfall will be made available to the Manchester City boss if his side are still in the Champions League and are keeping pace in the title race.
But some of that cash could be made available this week, before the current window for business closes on September 2, to buy a central defender.
