Manchester City are set to win the race to sign Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.
According to The Sun, City have had a bid of £28.6million accepted by the Brazilian club and are now waiting on the player to travel to Manchester.
It is understood that City have asked for permission to have Jesus leave Brazil's Olympic football squad in Rio to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms at the City Football Academy.
Spanish giants Barcelona have been showing significant interest in the 19-year-old attacker and were hoping to edge ahead of City but it appears as though Pep Guardiola has won out over his old employer.
Jesus has reportedly rejected Barcelona's offer and will now put pen to a long-term contract with City before officially joining up with the club in December.
