Manchester City superkid Danny Sturridge is delighted with the first team chances he's currently receiving.
The youngster told City's website: "It's a good experience for me playing in these kinds of games, and playing out in the left, not in my normal position, is a good education for me.
"I'm a striker and that's the position I see myself in in the future, but if I have to play out of position to get into the team then I will do that, although my main aim would always be to play as a striker.
"When you have played in a position for so long, like I have, it's hard to change and learn to play somewhere new in the space of a month or a few weeks. You're getting judged in front of 40,000 people so I have got to do my best out there.
"There are a lot of injuries at the moment, Robinho was injured before the Schalke game as well. That's where I'm getting my opportunity from, so if there are more injuries I'll get more chances but if not I'll have to work hard to get in the starting eleven. There are a lot of good players here, it's good competition and I'd like to be in in my position as a striker. But I want to be on the pitch, I want to play, no-one wants to be on the bench, as long as I am playing I'm happy."
