Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane admits winning the Ballon d'Or is a career ambition.

Sane joined City last year from Schalke and told France Football he dreams of winning the prestigious award.

"Of course it's a dream to win the Ballon d'Or! But it's impossible for me to project myself and say that I want to win it in three or five years, that would not make sense," said Sane.

"If I said that, you could laugh and say that there are a lot of bright players in front of me, and that's true. It is extremely difficult to win such a trophy, there are so many young players who will have the same goal in the coming years."

Meanwhile, after his performance for victory over Napoli last night, Sane was likened to Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said: "It was a victory for free-flowing football.

"I was out of my seat for the Aguero goal and Sane reminds me of a young Ryan Giggs. He glides across the pitch."
