England U20 enjoyed a comfortable 3-1 win over Holland yesterday in the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup.
The four-team tournament is taking place in the German cities of Heidenheim and Ulm, allowing Keith Downing's team to compare themselves to some of Europe's elite sides.
And the early indications were good as goals from Reece Brown (Birmingham City), Brandon Barker (Manchester City) and Sam Gallagher (Southampton) earned them a winning start against the Dutch.
England face their second match in the tournament when they play Turkey in their base city of Ulm on Friday.
