Manchester City are watching Gimnasia La Plata defender Lisandro Magallan.

The Daily Mail says Magallan is fast emerging as one of the brightest prospects in the country after nailing down a regular firs-team berth after his team were relegated last term.

Reports in Argentina have claimed that City scout Attilio Lombardo has been monitoring the teenager's progress closely and has been so impressed that he has recommended him to manager Roberto Mancini.
