Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is weighing up a new move for Fiorentina pair Riccardo Montolivo and Juan Manuel Vargas.
Peru left-back Vargas has been linked with Real Madrid, while Arsenal are watching midfielder Montolivo at the World Cup.
La Repubblica says City had a £35 million offer for the pair rejected by Fiorentina before the end of last season, but City manager Mancini remains interested.
Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino, meanwhile, has told interested clubs that Montolivo will not leave for less than £22 million.
