Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has warned Liverpool off Stephen Ireland.

He said: "I had never heard anything about that. He's another that we don't want to let go, like with Onuoha he's another young, talented player from our Academy and I don't want them to go.

"Nedum has done well when he has played, and Stephen has been involved in almost every game."
