Bayern Munich must cough up big to land Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng.
The Manchester Evening News says Bayern Munich have been made aware that they will have to start talking serious money if they want to stand any chance of signing Boateng.
The defender has indicated that he wants to leave Eastlands and return to his native Germany after a tough first season following his £11m move from Hamburg.
The Blues will not even consider selling him on unless they can make a significant profit that can then be used to find a replacement - like Bolton's Gary Cahill.
