Manchester City veteran Yaya Toure is yet to hear from the club about a new deal.
The Manchester Evening News says the Ivorian has still been left in the dark about his future, with manager Pep Guardiola insisting no decision will be made until the end of the season.
Despite Toure's remarkable first team return this season, he has been offered no assurances by Guardiola.
The 33-year-old is out of contract this summer and has made it clear he wants to sign a new deal at the Etihad.
He told Guardiola personally last month of his desire to stay.
But City's manager remains undecided and is prepared to risk losing the midfielder, who is free to talk to interested clubs from now.
