Manchester City are ready to send Yaya Toure to sister club New York City FC.
The Daily Star says Toure, 34, is seen as a potential successor to Italy legend Andrea Pirlo at City's MLS sister club in New York.
Pirlo, 38, is retiring at New York City FC at the end of the season.
And that could be perfect timing for fellow midfielder Toure, who is assured of legendary status himself at City after being a major part of the club during their successful trophy run in recent seasons.
The Blues' sister club in the Big Apple are coached by former City midfielder and ex-Etihad coach Patrick Vieira.
