Manchester City are believed to be close to signing Queens Park Rangers' teenage sensation Raheem Sterling.

The 14-year old has notified QPR that he wants to leave for a bigger club and reports suggest that City have beaten off Manchester rivals United, Liverpool and Arsenal for his services.

Sterling has been monitored for months by the quartet of clubs and QPR said they would not stand in his way if he wanted to make the move to a Premier League outfit.
