Man City, Utd alerted to Luis Fabiano’s future uncertainty

Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has hinted at a move away from Spain, alerting Manchester City and Manchester United who were linked with the player during summer.

The 28-year old Brazilian could be on his way out at Sevilla and will have clubs lining up for his services despite his agent claiming there is plenty of interest from Italy in the shape of Turin-based club Juventus.

“The market closed last week and it seems absurd to talk about transfers now,” said agent Jose Fuentes.

“However, if there is an interest from an Italian club then we will sit down and listen.

“We have not had any direct contact with Juventus so far, but it is an honour that such an important club is interested in Luis.”

Just received a reply from FIFA.

It reads:

Sir. Whilst we cannot go on record as agreeing with your views on the current state of affairs at Manchester City football club, Mr. Blatter has asked me to forward this off-the-record message.
He says, quote: "Yes, Sir Cecil, I agree with you entirely and would like to see the club you mention eradicated in the long term. I just telephoned Mr. Platini with your shorter term idea of having them play home games behind closed doors and he thought it was a splendid concept. He said he will call a special meeting in the morning to implement this action as soon as possible, hopefully in time for the next home game."
Regards, Thelma Ritter, Secretary to Mr. Blatter.
