Manchester City are aiming to trump Manchester United for Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder.
The News of the World says City will use the sale of Carlos Tevez to Inter Milan to snatch Sneijder from under Manchester United's noses.
City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to add creativity to his central midfield next season and sees Sneijder as the ideal solution.
City are demanding £40 million for Tevez's sale, but would welcome a straight swap with Inter for the Dutch playmaker.
