Manchester City are ready to go to war with Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski. The Daily Star Sunday says City are now weighing up a move for man-of-the-moment Lewandowski, who scored four times for Borussia Dortmund last week against Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League.
That is despite Manchester United still being confident they will land the Poland striker.
Manager Roberto Mancini looks to have a potential trump card in the battle for Lewandowski, 24, because Dortmund already want Edin Dzeko as his replacement.
And a swap deal is an option, along with a cash adjustment.
