Man City to try for Valencia winger Hernandez after Mata snub

Manchester City are set to remain in transfer talks with Valencia.

The People says City have been warned off top target Juan Mata.

Boss Roberto Mancini and his backroom team have been weighing up a £20m bid for the Valencia winger this summer.

But Spanish club president Manuel Llorente insists: "We won't negotiate because he is the key man in our project."

City could now turn to another Valencia star, Pablo Hernandez, who is valued at around £10m.
