Man City trio in, Ronaldinho snubbed by Brazil

Manchester City's Brazilian trio have all been named in their country's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Colombia next month.

City trio Robinho, Jo and Elano have both been named in Brazil's squad, but there is no place for Ronaldinho.

The 28-year-old, who rejected a move to City, has yet to find his form since his summer move from Barcelona to AC Milan, although club-mate Kaka returns from a knee injury.

Chelsea defender Alex, Liverpool midfielder Lucas and Manchester United's Anderson have all been named in the squad.

Brazil squad:

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Internazionale), Doni (Roma);

Defenders: Maicon (Internazionale), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Juan Maldonado (Flamengo), Kleber (Santos), Lucio (Bayern Munich), Alex (Chelsea), Juan (Roma), Thiago Silva (Fluminense);

Midfielders: Lucas (Liverpool), Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Anderson (Manchester United), Kaka (AC Milan), Elano (Manchester City), Josue (Wolfsburg), Julio Baptista (Roma), Mancini (Internazionale);

Attackers: Robinho, Jo (both Manchester City), Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Alexandre Pato (AC Milan).
