Man City to rid themselves of Wilfried Bony

Manchester City will almost certainly offload Wilfried Bony this summer.

According to the Daily Star, incoming city boss Pep Guardiola will get rid of the Ivory Coast striker at the end of the season as he prepares to bring in some big names at the Etihad Stadium.

27-year-old Bony has generally struggled since joining City from Swansea City for £28million in January last year, more often than not serving as back-up to Sergio Aguero, and will be sold after just 16 months in Manchester.

Bony, who has also sat behind youngster Kelechi Iheanacho in Manuel Pellegrini's pecking order, has scored 11 goals in 38 appearances for City which is nowhere near enough for him to be saved from Guardiola's axe.
