Manchester City are planning for life without Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Pep Guardiola is ready to let the City favourites leave and has already identified his desired replacements.
Southampton centre-half Virgil van Dijk is a natural replacement for injury-prone skipper Kompany but there is plenty of interest in the Dutchman with Manchester United and Liverpool also keen.
Despite Toure showing impressive form of late, Guardiola does not see a future for the Ivorian veteran and is seeking the services of Sporting CP star William Carvalho.
However, the desire to replace Toure is not as pressing as that of Kompany and Pep could wait until the summer transfer window before he attempts to sign a powerful central midfielder.
