Manchester City are ready to raid the LaLiga transfer market again for a new defensive signing.

City boss Pep Guardiola is seeking a new centre-half signing and their search has led to unsettled Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez.

Over the weekend, the ball-playing central defender hinted he could be on the move from La Real this summer.

And Marca says City are ready to firm up their interest in the Spain international.

Martinez's contract carries a €30 million buyout clause - which City are happy to match.
