Manchester City are handing Joe Hart a payoff to help smooth his transfer to Burnley.

The Mirror says Hart has accepted a cut on his £120,000-a-week wages to move to Burnley.

But a lump sum paid to Hart by City is to subsidise the lower wages he will collect at Turf Moor over the next 12 months.

Hart is reportedly set for a £4million switch to Burnley after injuries to Nick Pope and Tom Heaton left Sean Dyche short of options between the sticks.
